Good observation, however careful what you wish for. It might be a kinder, gentler answer – sheltering you from opening pandora’s box as you are thinking… did I really want to know ALL of this? Also sometimes a person uses the ethics of ambiguity as an out for future needs. Some stuff is not so clearly separate and they meld together, making it hard to clearly express. So, it seems I’m not altogether against “Stuff.”

I don’t think I actually use that word too often. I usually describe whatever “stuff” I am talking about.

While I tell my students not to use that word in their writing, it is a word that I use often to describe the s*** in my life.ha ha. My husband puts all of his STUFF on the kitchen/dining room table when he comes in from work or where ever. There are the dogs who leave their STUFF all over my house and then I have to put all of their STUFF away. My students use my room as their locker so they don’t over STUFF their lockers.

Me? I have a lot of STUFF going on, but I am counting the days until June 22 when I don’t have to think about it for eight weeks!
